JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Support / Sr.Technical Support Engineer-Tier-3
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with highly knowledgeable group of customers and provide customer support via phones, email, and web-based tools & on site
- Replicating customer reported issues
- Attend release readiness reviews with engineering team and provide TAC feedback based on customer experience
- Troubleshoot problems with RADIUS servers and networking equipment such as routers and switches
- Work closely with Engineering departments (such as development and QA) for fault isolation and resolution
- Ongoing contribution to technical knowledge base; examples are: tech notes, app notes, and review of information
- Effectively document troubleshooting reports and response to the customer
- Use various network monitoring tools (software and hardware debugging tools), such as Ethereal/Wireshark and Airopeek
- Take full ownership of the customer's technical issues and perform tasks like problem and progress report, on site trouble shooting, SW upgrades
Requirements:
- BS CS/EE or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of Technical Support experience (Mandatory in Wireless or Network field)
- Minimum of 4 - 8 years of networking background
- Willing to work in UK /EU shift timings
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong troubleshooting abilities in wireless point to point , multipoint, Wimax systems
- Understanding of switching technologies like VLAN, STP, RSTP, Filtering etc
- Be a Individual Contributor to the technical bulletins etc.
- Understanding of common enterprise ISP network architectures
- Understanding of TCP/IP, L2 Switching, Multicasting, Windows Operating Systems/Linux
- Must have exp. On tools like ethereal, wireshark, airopeak, chariot, IXIA etc.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment as a member of an experienced technical team
Experience Desired:
- Experience with wireless protocols (802.11) Technology
- Experience with QoS, VLAN, and RADIUS servers a plus
- Working Knowledge of VoIP protocols a plus
- Information Security background a plus
- CCNA is mandatory. CWNP certifications a plus
Qualification / Education:
- Graduate/BS/BE/B.Tech/BCA/ or equivalent experience
